Julian McBride is an incredible human being. A life-changing spinal operation in 2011 didn't go to plan and left Julian paralysed from the waist down. So why does he now consider himself to be one of the luckiest people on the planet? Julian is a 2022 motor racing championship contender – He has a significant disability in both legs, yet competes wheel to wheel with able-bodied drivers. An IT professional by trade, his boyhood dream of becoming a racing driver was ignited in 2011 following a devastating spinal injury. Only three seasons in, he finished third in Class A at the 2018 750MC Club Enduro Championship – using an adapted driving style. Supported by Geoff Steel Racing, he is coached by a top-level professional GT driver and the proud owner of a brand-new bespoke BMW race car.
